Children's Miracle Network:

Ace Hardware has raised over $42 million to support Children's Miracle Network since 1991.  Every year Whitmore partners with Ace Hardware to support the Children’s Miracle Network - contributing more than $83K annually. The money that is raised helps sick and injured children regardless of their families’ ability to pay. Although the Children’s Miracle Network is a national program, 100% of the funds raised in each community stay local, being donated to Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, our local CMN hospital.

Melissa's Closet

In the memory of a  previous Whitmore cashier, Melissa's Closet is an event with the the goal to outfit young women with prom dresses that would not normally be able to afford the luxury.  The first year (2008) we were so excited to have 120 dresses for local girls.  The event has grown so much that we now have 1900+ dresses, accessories, 100 volunteers, hair and makeup lessons and a scholarship fund.
